The competition begins

The first day of the competition is intense: the tension is rising - the teams are nervous and our team can also feel the tension. The preparation time is running out - the robot is calibrated to the conditions of the competition arena and...

... one should not take the German football team as a role model: a classic false start in the World Cup. Our robot starts very slowly and only manages a very small part of the track with the new (probably overloaded) program.

The invalid result (only 9 out of 10 runs count) is achieved and the boys immediately begin (a little dejected) with the error analysis.

'Back to the roots' is the motto. There are 90 minutes available for rebuilding the robot until the second round, and all additional functions such as multiplexers and grippers for the balls are removed, leaving only the basic device for tracking the line and avoiding obstacles ready for the second run.

The nervousness can be felt when the start button is pressed and the robot? follows the line - masters the gaps and inclines and turns correctly at the intersections -- yes, now it's running...

The relief is palpable - and plans for further adjustments are immediately tackled.

All over the huge hall, students from all over the world are tinkering with robots and cheering during the rounds.
