Off to Kauai

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 27.11.2017

After a lovely birthday party, the final leg of our journey awaits us.

We're heading to Kauai.

Kauai is the oldest of the Hawaiian islands, with an age of approximately 6 million years.

Due to its lush nature, it is also known as the Garden Isle.

Lush nature naturally means abundant rainfall, making Kauai one of the rainiest regions on Earth.

Upon our arrival, we immediately notice the temperature difference from Big Island. It's about 4-5 degrees cooler here, and on this day, we also get a taste of what it's like to be in one of the rainiest regions on Earth.

It's pouring rain and doesn't let up all day.

Our beautiful vacation rental is located in Princeville, in the north of the island. The town is small and cozy, with a few lovely shops and restaurants. The backdrop surrounding the town is breathtaking, with forested mountains dotted with countless waterfalls. Truly beautiful.

In the evening, we plan to have dinner in Hanalei, the neighboring town.

Here, we'll find the restaurant Tahiti Nui. Thanks to the movie 'The Descendants' starring George Clooney, this restaurant is no longer a hidden gem.

Expect a charming restaurant, delicious food, friendly service, and great live music. It's definitely a place where you can linger for a while.

We'll make our way back home late at night, because another adventure awaits us the next day. We want to enjoy nature on a canoe/hiking tour.
