From the National Park via Tignerons to Bramans

Day 9 (September 9, 2020)

We slept deeply and soundly last night, but we were still somewhat exhausted from yesterday's day.

For breakfast, we had the last of the water and then we were off. In bright sunshine. With every meter downhill, it got hotter. The countless pine cones on the path felt like marbles under our feet. Luckily, there was only one fall from Simi and everyone remained uninjured.

A waterfall that appeared out of nowhere, spurting from a rock, ended our dry spell. The path led past bombastic 'Hinkelsteine' and one part of it taught us a lot about plants.

At noon, we arrived in Termignon and treated ourselves to pizza at the only open and very nice restaurant La Ferme.

With full stomachs, we continued walking along the river. The cozy path, which by the way is part of the Via Alpina, offered a change from the mountain world of the past few days.

We took it easy and arrived in Bramans around half past 5, where after much back and forth, we decided to stay overnight at the campsite. The showers and the available dryer made the decision.

After setting up the tents, we took a walk in the charming old village and bought tomatoes, apricot juice, and wine at the small store, which was located behind the dining room in a hotel.

Back at the campsite, we enjoyed a hot shower, scrubbed ourselves thoroughly, and felt more than reborn afterwards. All clothes went into the washing machine and then Alex and Jana started cooking. We had Thai rice and the delicious wine.
