Goodbye Bali

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 16.07.2024

All good things come to an end. We really enjoyed this vacation and my wanderlust seems to grow on our travels rather than being satisfied. We are pondering and can certainly imagine spending our lives outside of Germany for a longer period of time. However, our current obligations to our children mean that this is nothing more than a dream. For the moment, that's a good thing!

With a lot of impressions, which I have already tried to describe in the previous entries, today we are heading back home.

We spent the last hours of our stay in Bali in Kuta, quite close to the airport. A somewhat dated villa was our last home. The pool was first class though. That's enough!

Komang picked us up one last time and, as always, brought us safely to our destination. We used the time before our flight to Berlin via Doha to briefly sum up.

Bali is definitely worth a trip. Even if the journey is long and not everything is as you would expect as a spoiled Western European, this little piece of earth is a place to fall in love with, even if not always at first sight. Beautiful nature, relaxed people, excellent food (whether street food or the cool healthy bowl), beaches, sunrises and sunsets and lots more. It is well known that garbage and environmental pollution are an issue here and it is sometimes shocking. However, it would be presumptuous for me to pass judgment on this.

The kids also enjoyed the holiday and Mara would love to travel further. It's nice when we can ignite the travel fire in our kids too...

Well, that's it for now. Fly to Bali, the people here will thank you from the bottom of their hearts.

I’ll do the same if you follow our blog next time!

Hello Bali!
