Good Friday is the highest Easter holiday here, at 6:00 am the first procession with offbeat brass music was already moving through the streets. I wanted to get up early anyway. To take photos when there aren't so many people around yet. I like the brightly painted houses with their beautiful old wooden doors. Sometimes a dog or something similar will pose in front of them in a picturesque way, for example when I don't have my camera with me. Or one of the big pickups is parked in front of them.
There are a lot of stray dogs running around on the main street. Normally, they don't pay attention to people, but this morning one of them growled at me. And then he followed me. Honestly, I tried it out: When I stopped, he stopped too. When I turned, he followed. When I went back, he turned back too. Maybe my deodorant had failed. It was only when I crossed the already busy square in front of the cathedral that I could shake him off.
My thoughts revolve around the last errands. In which restaurant you absolutely have to eat the amazing dessert one last time, what souvenirs you still have to buy, and similar things that you now have the very last opportunity for. Only 14 days left.
