At the beach in Skaleta

What is also part of a vacation in Crete? Beach, of course! Since our hotel had direct beach access, we had it right outside our doorstep. We spent some beautiful hours there. The water was a bit chilly but wonderfully clear! However, the beach was quite rocky, so you could only easily get into the water at a few spots.

No money, no fun

However, we had to pay extra for the beach chairs. We were not thrilled about that and also a bit surprised, since the hotel was advertised as having a private beach. We actually did not expect to have to pay for beach chairs as well.

Walk

We also walked a bit further away from the hotel beach and took a look around the area.
