Day 25: A seafaring adventure!

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 11.06.2019

As we wake up in the morning, it is scorching hot. We had planned to visit a small town inland, but since we are sweating at every movement, we decide to go to the beach first. There is a small sandy beach not far from our campsite. Fortunately, there are shady spots there, so we set up our beach camp. We swim in the sea and play in the sand.

The water has become significantly warmer and it is very pleasant to swim in the cool water. We stay at the beach until the afternoon. In the evening, we have booked a boat tour with dolphin watching. It starts at 6 pm at the harbor of Porec. We have a snack and get on the boat.

It's a nice tour and we even see dolphins. Their dorsal fins keep appearing near the boat. Fortunately, our boat is relatively empty so we can enjoy the tour relaxed.

After about two hours, we reach the harbor again. We share an ice cream and drive back to the campsite.

Tomorrow we have to say goodbye to Istria.

Generally speaking, we liked Dalmatia and the Kvarner Bay better. The coast, the serenity, the scenery, and also the cities have much more to offer in the south. We used the time in Istria to relax and still had a very nice time. Especially for the children, there was a lot of program here.

Originally, we wanted to drive towards Venice, to the area of Jesolo. But since the sea is currently closed for swimming due to bacterial contamination, we change our plans and drive back to the island of Cres for another 3 days. Then, sadly, it's time to slowly head back home!
