As beautiful as the parking space on the beach was, the wind was quite strong. We woke up from the storm and left at six. We were rewarded with a gigantic sunrise. It was the last leg before the North Cape. Tromso, the northernmost city in Europe and the gateway to the Arctic. We were excited to explore the city and the streets. By now, we had learned that a highway is not always cleared.
We enjoyed the last impressions of the Lofoten Islands and made great progress. In the afternoon, we reached Tromso. After finding a place to stay and refueling, we made a plan. We wanted to take the cable car up the mountain and have dinner there while observing the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, the wind was too strong and the cable car wasn't running. So, we went to the city center for sushi instead. In the meantime, Henriette watched the fish in the huge aquarium. Best way to pass the time 😂
Afterwards, we returned to the cable car parking lot where we had a great view of the city.
