Today we left Adelaide at 8 o'clock in the morning. We had to say goodbye to our host families and new friends which was very sad 😢 We waved a last goodbye and head off to our trip on the GREAT OCEAN ROAD to Melbourne. Our bus driver told us a bit about the towns we passed.
After 2 hours of driving we had our first break in a little town called where we could buy waffles at a kiosk run by a woman originally coming from Aachen. Our second stop was at a little town called Naracoorte . We made an one hour break and most of us had something very special to eat - Mc Donalds 😂
Then we visited the LIMESTONE CAVES and we took the chance to go into one of the it. It was a little limestone cave with illuminated ways. After spending an hour there we continued our trip through the amazing landscapes. We even crossed a time zone - 30 minutes on top! ⏰
Then, all of a sudden, our bus stopped and the driver wasn't able to start the engine again. Great excitement! After a few phone calls and the bus driver fiddling around somewhere at the back of the bus it worked again.
We arrived at at our hostel at 6:30 pm after a looooong day of driving... At 7 pm we had a BUSH BARBIE - lots of meat to eat: kangaroo, emu, beef, chicken, pork... 😋
After dinner we went back to our hostel and played games in the community room 🎲 🎴

Then, we visited the limestone caves and took the opportunity to explore one of them. It was a small limestone cave with illuminated paths. After an hour, we continued our journey through the beautiful landscape. Unfortunately, our bus suddenly stopped on the road. After a few phone calls and some tinkering by the bus driver, it started working again.
