Sunday, 20th of October
My Sunday today began at 9 am. Right after breakfast we drove to a futsal match of Jack, the little brother of my exchange student. Futsal is like soccer just indoor and with some different rules. The whole family, including me, was there to support him. After the match we drove to the grandparents’ house because it was the birthday party for my exchange student’s uncle. We ate, had talks and laughed a lot but - to be honest - I didn’t understand everything when everyone was talking fast, at the same time and with their Australian accent - BUT with asking the conversations were perfect. With Charlotte, my exchange student, and her friends there is always much to talk and to laugh about. Then, after the party, we went back home. Their house ist so big that I’ve not seen every room after a week here! With the two little brothers I played a bit on their PlayStation in the evening. At 9 pm I went to bed. It was a very funny but also tiring day.
I really like this family ♥️ - they are literally the nicest persons I’ve ever met. I think Australians in general are very nice, outgoing and open-minded . Maybe that attitude is something we could "take" with us when we go back to Germany.
