From Khao Lak to Bangkok

Today the alarm clock went off at 6:00 am😖. My personal nightmare 😱. I was still so tired 😴! Well, there was no way around it, we had to get up because our taxi was ordered for 7:00am 🚕! Today we flew back to Bangkok ✈️! Our taxi driver was very punctual and drove us to Phuket airport in 1 hour and 15 minutes👍. When we arrived at the airport, there was an immediate security check at the entrance. After passing this control, we checked in and then went out of the airport building 😬! The air outside was better😁! Just before boarding, we went back inside and had to go through security again. Everything was fine! Then we went to our gate.

The plane took off almost on time 😬! The weather was nice, not a cloud in the sky, so I thought it would be a pleasant flight 😜. Help, it was shaking heavily during takeoff! Daniela asked me if I was still breathing 😆!? The flight was quite pleasant until shortly before landing 🤗! But the short time before landing was horrifying 😳. The man next to me said it was like riding a roller coaster 😮! The plane rocked from right to left😖. I dreaded the landing and I was right with my feeling 😖. In short, the 👨🏽‍✈️ must have had a few drinks 🙇‍♀️!

We took the Skytrain 🚄 from the airport to the center of Bangkok. This time we booked a central hotel🏙 for one night.

Right after check-in, we went out and went to a market 🙉. I love shopping, but what we experienced there, no one will believe us 🙈. It was like a festival with endless people there.

You can imagine it best like this: Christmas market in Nuremberg and countless people pushing through the narrow alleys. In addition, there are now scooter riders and other sellers with their mobile sales carts🙉😖🙈. I turned to Daniela and said 'let's get out of here'! Thank goodness we are at least three heads taller than our Asian counterparts, otherwise we would have gotten lost in the pushing. So we just managed to get out. It was such a relief to be standing on the sidewalk 😬!

Then I went to the nearest Starbucks and treated myself to a huge Frappuccino to cool off 😬🙃! Now we wanted to take a taxi to the palace😌! But here too, it turned into a melee 😣. Several people from the market wanted a taxi and the drivers were now free to choose who to take and who not! We must have heard 'ooooh noooooo tooooo much traffic😝' at least eleven times! A tuk-tuk driver stopped next to us and asked 'maaadaaaaam where yuuuuuuu gooooo'? When we told him where we wanted to go, he said yes, he would drive us, but only if he could take us to one of his shops first 🙇‍♀️! That really sucked 🙅! We must have looked really desperate because the next taxi driver finally drove us away from there 🙃!

We actually wanted to visit the palace 🤗, but unfortunately, the ticket counter was already closed 😱! Well, that's a pity 😒

From there, we drove to Rambuttri Street and had a delicious meal! We needed a base for our cocktail party 😬. After all, Daniela only gets older once a year 😂! We ordered delicious cocktails 🍹 and a piece of cake 🎂 at a cool bar. The staff decorated it nicely with birthday candles and brought it to Daniela while singing 😬. Oh, it was sooo beautiful🤗! The cocktails tasted excellent🍹👍...
