Due to an unfortunate collision with a taxi driver (head-on collision), I haven't been able to text since Monday evening🙈. My head was buzzing pretty hard, but luckily it has calmed down again 😬!
On Monday, we took the public bus 🚌 to Erawan National Park 🤗!
In the morning, we left the hotel at around 8:40 am and stood 200 meters further along the main road. The hotel staff had explained to us the previous evening that there are no bus stops in Kanchanaburi. You have to stand on the side of the road and wave 👋! Then the bus would stop and take you along 😁!
We knew that we were supposed to take a blue bus with the number 8170! However, this number is on the side and not on the front 😜. So it was a bit confusing! After stopping about 4 wrong buses/vans, the right one finally arrived 😁!
This bus was an absolute highlight 😁, it was probably from the 60s 😊! The doors remained open during the journey. They could only be closed or opened manually. It had its charm 😊 to ride on such a bus! 70 km for 50 baht, which is about 1.25 euros 👍! If you want to get off, you shout it to the driver and he just stops 😜! Very uncomplicated!
After about 1 hour, we arrived at the national park! While Daniela was getting information material, I strolled around the parking lot and suddenly a big fat wild boar was in front of me 😳! It didn't bother me at all, it was looking for food and slowly wandered along the parking lot 🙃!
A brief info about Erawan National Park 😊! The Erawan waterfalls, which are among the most beautiful waterfalls in Asia, are part of the national park. The waterfalls are located in the middle of wild jungle 😊🙈. The waterfall offers almost every level of the 7 levels the opportunity to refresh in the wonderfully emerald green water or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the park 🤗!
What made the visit very pleasant for me were the only 20 degrees on that day and a beautiful cloud cover 😁. We reached the first three waterfalls via a great wide paved path 😜. Up to that point, we liked the third waterfall the best 🤗! It was beautiful with crystal clear water and a large area for swimming 🤗!
From now on, we had to go over narrow paths, stair steps, wooden bridges through the jungle to the next waterfalls 😊! This time, it wasn't bad for me at all because, firstly, it was really cool and, secondly, there were no spiders in sight 😜!
We made it to the 6th waterfall and that was already very exhausting 🙃! We had to climb over rocks that were relatively slippery again and again. We tried to reach the 7th waterfall, but it was a bit too heavy for us 😳!
We decided to go swimming at the 4th waterfall on the way back 😊! Before I jumped into the water, I put one foot in and suddenly a lot of fish came and attached themselves 😂🙈. At first, it tickled, but over time it became uncomfortable because they only let go when my foot was hanging in the air with them. Hm, the fish ranged from tiny to slightly bigger. I had to laugh because I could imagine myself jumping in there in a bikini and having lots of fish attached to my body and leaving with them 😂🙈!
Afterwards, we decided against swimming and made another stop at the 3rd waterfall before slowly returning to the exit. Our great bus was already waiting there and the ride back to the hotel went relatively fast as it was downhill from the national park 😜!
Now it was time to wait for our minivan. Because we were going back to Bangkok with it 😬! It arrived with a delay of 30 minutes 😖. Once all the passengers were on board, he hit the gas pedal so hard 🙈. It couldn't get any better than flying 👍! Somewhere in Bangkok, he said to us, we were there👀! What? We're standing here in the middle of nowhere! Daniela took on the little guy, but he didn't understand a word of English! He just pointed at the waiting taxis 🙃! So he called his boss again and handed Daniela the phone. There was a heated discussion. The driver was supposed to take us to the central bus station, as agreed. But he was really angry and kept saying taxi, taxi 😖! We felt that it was a set-up! They wanted to cheat the tourists 😳! Well, he finally drove us to a place that was completely flooded with water and said we were there 😖. There were more heated discussions, even with other people who knew the driver 🙉. Daniela leaned out of the minivan and argued with them 😝! I already saw her jumping out of the car and stomping the little guy into the ground! Eventually, she said 'OK, no problem, I call the police'! So, the driver called his boss again and through gritted teeth, he finally had to take us to our destination 😖! It was really incredible that we experienced something like this!
We then took the skytrain to the airport. We had booked an airport hotel near there for our last night. We were supposed to take a taxi from the airport there 👍! Hm, when we were loading the luggage, the driver and I both went down to my bag at the same time. Ouch 😖😖😖😖, we collided so hard that I thought my head was going to explode 🙈🙉! From that moment on, I was knocked out 😳!
To be honest, I didn't really notice much of the hotel after that! I went straight to bed and was woken up in the morning by the departing planes 👀! Help, it sounded like I was lying on the runway in a tent ⛺️🙉! When I looked out, an A380 from Emirates was just taking off. I thought it was going to fly straight into the hotel and the windows were going to burst 😂. An airport hotel in Bangkok is something completely different than in Frankfurt 😜!
We flew from Bangkok at 12:50 pm and arrived in Cologne at 9:10 pm by ICE train! The flight was perfect this time 👌🏻, great service and lots of space 😁. Sascha was waiting at the train station in Cologne with Littlefoot and two delicious Weckmänner 😂😊! Thanks again for that 🤗!
It was a fantastic vacation, but I'm also glad to be back in Germany 😁
... why does it have to be so cold🙉🙇♀️😱!
