Day 9 and 10 Laurentian Mountains

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 13.09.2018

What a tranquility! After the hustle and bustle of the city, it's a relief. We landed in Lac Supérieur, booked through Expedia Hotel, which turned out to be a vacation rental. With a view of the lake, equipped with everything you need. On the afternoon of our arrival, we simply sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view, despite the cloudy sky. Nearby is a small bistro that also serves espresso coffee - what could possibly go wrong? We buy some groceries from the beautiful delicatessen selection and cook ourselves some pasta. A glass of wine with it, delightful.

The next day, our destination is Mont Tremblant National Park. We decide to take a circular hiking trail of 8.5 km - La Coullée, duration: 2.45 hours. A beautiful and demanding route for flatland Tyroleans like us. But we have already tackled Mont Royal after all... it's a magnificent path, we only encounter a few people and enjoy the silence, interrupted only by our panting. An enchanted forest, many rocks covered with moss, fresh green from small shoots and ferns fighting for their rights. In between, there are streams, sometimes small, sometimes larger, finding their way. The trail is not signposted everywhere, but you can recognize the well-trodden paths. We even see deer and chipmunks. Afterwards, we enjoy the wonderful sunshine by the lake - it has become summerly warm again. Then we continue to Mont Tremblant Centre Ville (Mont Tremblant has 3 districts, but two of them are pure winter resorts - the Whistler of Eastern Canada). We are hungry and decide to go to an Italian restaurant - it's not great, but it fills us up. By now it's dark and the drive back to our accommodation is exciting for me - it's a winding and hilly road, you never know what's coming. Fortunately, the deer on the side of the road decides to turn around.

We are still not sure how we will continue our journey tomorrow. We will decide in the morning!
