Today we drove from Lake Balaton to Romania. If you want to know where the EU money goes, you should drive on the highway in Romania. Beautifully developed and state-of-the-art. Paul also did well with the whole thing. As soon as we hit the country road, we got our bumpy roads. Luckily only 30km. Now we are in Casa Altringen, where farm charm meets Swabian emigrants. The menu is small, but the food is even better. Delicious traditional food and also cheap.
Trivia:
In the years 1771 to 1772, the village was settled by the then governor Johann Altringen with 32 German families, mainly from Baden, Württemberg, Bavaria and the Palatinate. For this purpose, the locals were resettled in the surrounding Romanian villages.
