This day went really badly at first. I should print out a form that I need for a field trip. Normally no problem: you send the relevant file to Guest Service and receive the printout.

I spent over an hour sending emails. I switched from smartphone to tablet, I switched email service - none of my emails arrived. I gave up in frustration.

At lunchtime in the buffet restaurant, I successfully spilled a cup of fruit punch down my pants and onto the floor. No problem for my pants, they are actually water-repellent and stayed dry and clean. But I was sorry and embarrassed that I was giving the staff extra work.

In the afternoon a solution to my printing problem emerged: A helpful fellow passenger told me that she had her own printer and that I could send her my file. This time it worked without any problems and I was able to pick up the printout.

From the entertainment program today, I only attended a trivia event as a listener because I was interested in the topic of “Unusual Food”.

The highlight of the day came at 6 p.m. I really dressed up for the occasion. A group of passengers, including me, had booked the "Chef's Table", the best restaurant on board. First we received champagne at our meeting point, then we took our seats at the table. The personalized menu cards directed us where to sit. There were 16 or 18 of us and the table seemed full.

There were at least five wine glasses in front of each of us and plenty of cutlery, as a six-course meal with wine accompaniment awaited us.

Each course was accompanied by explanations from the chef herself. And it was sensational! A scallop carpaccio, a wonderful tomato soup, a salad with plenty of lobster, a delicious fish dish, a hearty steak and finally "The World" - a chocolate ball that was melted in hot sauce and could then be spooned out.

I still haven't become a wine lover, but I really enjoyed the dishes.

Oh yes, I decided not to have a real lunch as a precaution. During my embarrassing appearance, all I had done was get some soup.
