The second week has already begun and I'm gradually missing the food from Switzerland more and more. Although my host parents always cook fairly fresh, it's mostly Moroccan and Mexican cuisine. However, they cook with a lot of vegetables and always have fruits, for which I am very grateful. After dinner, I often go for a walk with my host parents and their dog Coco. On Saturday, I met up with a colleague for the Avocado Festival in Carpinteria. The weather was so nice that we decided to have a beach day on Sunday. We went to Butterfly Beach, had a picnic, went swimming, and watched the sunset.
