Christmas

So over Christmas, I was at a friend's house because my host mom wanted to spend the holidays with her family and I would just be in the way. So, on the 24th, I went to Theresa's house. I gave Mari (Theresa's host mom) a smoking house as a gift with incense candles, a Milka chocolate Santa Claus, and a bottle of wine from Stephanie. She appreciated it, but later I found out that she's diabetic and can't have any sugar, and she also didn't like the smell of the incense candles. Afterwards, I unpacked the gift that Melissa sent me. I was so happy about the letter and the gift, thank you ❤️. Then, I talked to my parents on the phone and unpacked the gift they sent me. I started crying because I was really happy and also sad. It was a pillow with a family photo on one side and a picture of the dogs on the other. It was the most beautiful gift I've ever received, especially because I really miss all of you right now. Thank you ❤️. Speaking of gifts, Stephanie gave me a 50€ bill as a Christmas gift so I could buy an album, and also as a thank you for helping her with her homework. I used it to buy the Butter album by BTS and Manifesto Day 1 (I bought 3 versions of the same album and still didn't get a Ni-ki photocards 😭) by Enhypen. I also received a gift from Penny (the dog I sometimes walk), which I found extremely cute, and Mari's daughter gave me a package of lipstick and a Lion King phone attachment. It was really nice of her to buy me something even though I don't know her. And also, thank you so much to everyone who sent me a small gift ❤️. So on Christmas Day, the 25th of December, we went to one of Mari's brothers for breakfast and had breakfast there. In the afternoon, we went to another relative's house where we had dinner, and we brought a homemade apple pie for dessert. On the 26th and 27th, we didn't do anything and I slept pretty much the whole day. Luckily, on the 28th, I was able to go back home. We went out to eat on the 29th because Stephanie felt bad for kicking me out over Christmas. The food was really delicious but way too much.

I hope you all had a good start to the new year. It was quite boring here. The evening went like any other. She went to bed at 10, then I could have the TV. She bought me a small piece of cake for New Year's, it was really good 😂. Somehow, you can't buy fireworks or it's illegal or something like that in the south of Ireland, so it was really quiet all night. But when we watched a movie yesterday evening, we saw fireworks outside, so on the night from the 1st to the 2nd, I was really happy. Lücke came yesterday because her host family has corona right now. She's also from Germany, and in a few hours, we're going to watch Avatar 2 in 3D at the cinema. I already saw it a few days ago, but it's worth it. We're going to the cinema in Killarney with the nice seats that you can extend.
