Happy New Year

Publicerad: 12.01.2018

Hello

Happy New Year to everybody! All the best for 2018😍😍😍

Wow, almost 4 weeks have passed since my last entry... Time flies... I have experienced many things, ups and downs, but most importantly, I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of Peter, my good, long-time friend from Switzerland, and showing him my paradise! He liked it very much and according to his statement, I'm doing everything right here😉

Our time together started in Bangkok. The last hour before he arrived at the hotel, I almost got lost, but finally, after 4 months, I could embrace a friend - indescribable!

Bangkok was cold... YES, cold! A cold front from China arrived, and Peter had to buy a hoodie as soon as he arrived. Unfortunately, swimming in the hotel pool was not possible😃 We enjoyed the 4 days with chilling by the river with sunset/happy hour, shopping in downtown, massages, cosmetics, Khao San Road, Chinatown, longtail boat tour on the river, and we met a couple of colleagues from Switzerland with their godchild. I finally could buy my new boxing gloves and visited the hairdresser, delightful!

On the evening of December 23, 2017, we flew to Krabi (1.20h) and then cruised to Lanta with a disco tuk-tuk driven by Boy (2h). We put our luggage in the room and headed to Cannon's Fin's Bar at Klong Khong Beach😍😍😍 Peter put his feet in the sea for the first time, and this was the first of many times he said: wow wow wow, it's so wonderful here!😀 He slept in my living room, and he could really sleep!👍

We enjoyed the 10 days together with: Muay Thai Fight Night (Tereza and other people I know were fighting), cooking class at Time for Lime on Christmas and enjoyed it, snorkeling trip to Koh Rock & Koh Ha, Old Town, seafood dinner in Saladan, massages, scooter ride to the south to the national park, beach, relax, pool, chilling, and many good conversations until late at night😄 New Year's Eve was great, though a bit special... I got sinusitis again (no wonder, everyone here, including the Thai trainers, was sick, and the germs were flying around in the gym😥😣). We made ourselves comfortable at Fin's Bar, drank the delicious Swiss Prosecco that Peter brought, and at 3 o'clock in the morning, we unexpectedly ended up at a beach party in Pangea Bar🤣

Then, Peter went on island hopping for 5 days and returned to Lanta for another 3 days. He finally left the day before yesterday. Thank you very much for everything, Peter, I will always remember our nice time together!!!

Now, I have almost 1 month alone before the next exciting visits continue... But maybe Ning, Cannon's sister, will come for 3 more days this weekend. But as Thais say: maybe - you never know😁

Unfortunately, I am stuffed with antibiotics now and can't do anything, no sun, no training, and no Chang beer...😭 But I'm already feeling much better, and I'm confident that I will be back on track in 2/3 days!

The weather is still crazy here... Sun, rain, cold, hot, windy... The evenings/nights are cold, we don't even need a fan, let alone the air conditioning🤔 Now I understand the Thais with their thick jackets and sometimes woolen hats🤣

Speaking of woolen hats... Thank you very much to everyone who sent/gave me a Christmas present/card! It's so nice to unpack a gift in Thailand😍😍😍 Thank you also, Peter, for the items from Switzerland (shaving gel, medicines, plasters, and toothpaste😃).

Yesterday, I finally made the decision on what to do next... I have extended until the end of May, will continue living here, and do another 3 months of Muay Thai with 100 hours, ole ole ole! I am also looking for work and keeping my eyes and ears open for my own business... There are many things I could do, the question is only under which circumstances and conditions. But even there, I tell myself: cha cha (as the Thai says: slowly slowly) and I trust that the right offer will come at the right time! Things are still very nice, intense, and exciting with Cannon... It is slowly getting serious, and we are making plans together😍😍😍 More on that when it's final😉

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend Tereza's farewell barbecue, she left today after 3 months. She is an exciting, loving young Czech woman with a lot of heart and an absolute strong willpower and power for Muay Thai! Thank you for everything, Tereza! Today is Bow's birthday, a Thai friend, and I am invited to have a soda with her😃 I have met some good, very loving people. Some have already left, fortunately, some are still here for a long time, and some live here, how lucky I am, thank you!

What else is there for me to say, except: I am happy, happy, happy all the time💚💛❤ and: I am still learning something new about the religion and culture, the system, and all the connections every day, which impresses and captivates me more and more!

Thank you for reading, writing, voice messages, photos/videos from home, I always love hearing from you😍

Take care and never forget: Happiness, health, and love are the keys to everything😘 Daniela
