Day 16-22: Koh Bulone

Publicerad: 15.04.2018

After having relaxed a lot on Koh Lipe, we wanted it to be even quieter and preferably without any tourists. I had read on a Facebook forum that if you're looking for that, you should go to Koh Bulone. So with this tip I had read somewhere, we eagerly set off towards Koh Bulone.

The journey was again by speedboat, but this time we didn't have to board the boat from the beach, we were taken to the speedboat on the water with a small longtail boat. Changing between the two boats turned out to be a real adventure. After about an hour at full speed, we arrived in a bay of Koh Bulone, where a small longtail boat was already waiting for us. So we changed boats again and then went to our bay, where we had reserved a bungalow. In the bay, our host mother welcomed us and led us to our bungalow. We couldn't believe it. A beautiful bamboo bungalow with its own veranda and bathroom. And all for less money than a mattress at the bar on Koh Lipe. After the second island, we found our dream island.

We simply enjoyed the peace and quiet. In order not to completely waste away, we took the kayak around the island one day, and on another day we walked through the jungle, and otherwise we swam a lot and let ourselves tan in the sun. The highlight of each day was dinner, it was soooooo incredibly delicious that we sometimes couldn't decide what to eat...

The six days here passed too quickly! Originally, we had planned to continue traveling to Koh Lanta from here, but we were afraid of being disappointed... so we're heading back to the mainland from here. The farewell was really difficult for us, but we were also really excited about what else awaits us!
