It's going well for us! Already in the morning, we discover blue patches of sky and the first rays of sunshine. Full of energy, we have breakfast outside with delicious Australian strawberries. We are also already looking ahead and trying to book a package for our stay in Alice Springs at the end of the month. Marco makes two phone calls, writes a few emails, and it's a done deal! Satisfied, we apply the obligatory SPF 50 sunscreen, pack our things, and walk over a well and easily 100m long pedestrian bridge towards the beach.
Once we reach the beach, we walk along the shore for a few minutes before turning around and settling in the sand. But we're not ready for bikinis and swim trunks yet. The wind is blowing very strongly, so we both lie on the beach in our sweaters. There are many people next to us in swimwear - we don't really understand them... Gradually, more and more people come to the beach and we feel the desire for a delicious cappuccino. We get it directly behind the beach section in a small shop. From now on, it's all about finding shade, because despite applying sunscreen twice (with SPF 50), Sarah got sunburned on her legs. Marco, on the other hand, has practically nothing. Surprising, right ;) But we're not complaining, because the sun is shining, it's warm (as long as it's not windy), and no rain in sight. So all is good :)
Culinary-wise, today we travel from the appetizer from Italy (tomato mozzarella salad) to Thailand (satay rice). The fixed evening program of a walk, tea, and games must not be missing either. At the end of the day, we sit down and reflect on the day while writing this post. Tomorrow we will continue westwards. Let's see where we will end up then.
