Soooo, now there's no turning back.
For those who don't know, Markus and I have been in a long-distance relationship between Trier and Darmstadt for almost three years. Markus lives in a shared flat, and I have a charming 45sqm attic apartment (yes, on the 3rd floor...count the steps) to call my own. Since we plan to finally move in together after the trip, it was a natural idea to give up my (way too small for two people and all our stuff) apartment and look forward.
So: I cancelled my first own apartment, found a new tenant, and even managed to move.
Despite a tearful eye, it couldn't have gone better! Thanks to the best weather over Trier and the best helpers (a big thank you to my sister Caro, Dad, and of course Juli - I know, it was a well-deserved kebab :-)), the apartment was cleared out and everything was loaded onto the trailer in 4 hours. Fortunately, I can store all the furniture I didn't sell at my parents' place.
Until it finally starts in about 4 weeks, I'll be seeking refuge in my old nursery. In combination with a broken car that has been in the workshop for far too long, the 90cm mattress actually makes me feel like I'm back in my teenage years. But it's nice to be a child again ;-)
