Today we hiked up Tunnel Mountain. We walked from the hotel to the trailhead again, and then it was steep at first and later a bit more moderate uphill. In total, we had to ascend about 330 meters until we reached the summit at 1692 m. The trail was very busy, with enough noise for the bears. We even saw a school class hiking up and down and people playing music from their backpacks.
At the top of the summit, we had a breathtaking view of Banff and the surrounding area, as well as the Bow River - simply amazing :-)
Going downhill was faster and with less grumbling :-)
Afterward, we headed towards Downtown, had delicious ice cream from a chocolate shop, and food from 'Hankki', Korean street food, which we enjoyed in the park on the lawn. The weather was just fantastic.
