Day 18 - 07.07.2024 Trip to Whistler

Originally, we wanted to stroll through the City Center before leaving Williams Lake. However, Juliane wasn't feeling well this morning (hair, breakfast, etc.), so we only managed a stroll in the Dollarama 1 Dollar Shop and got some small items, including things for Juliane's birthday.

Then it was another 5 hours of driving. Today was a very hot day and there was even a heat warning in BC. In the car with air conditioning, it was bearable. The outside temperature on our car showed up to 42 degrees.

In Whistler, we are staying at the Aava. Unfortunately, another room with a pull-out sofa for the girls (somehow it doesn't seem common here to prepare it, as we had to pull it out ourselves for the second time). The room number curiously once again simply 211 :-)

The hotel is located right in the City Center and in the evening, we took a first stroll through the town. Nice little town with cute buildings and of course an Olympic Park. But full of tourists. Comparing with Banff... we are not used to it anymore after the tranquility of the past few days ;-)
