So, after our first night in Romania, yesterday we were supposed to go to the Transalpina, where we wanted to camp again. The day started well, but at kilometer 258, Munro was stubborn, meaning, it was my fault or the road builder's fault or the cat's fault. Anyway, that's where yesterday's driving fun ended abruptly, Munro is in trouble, I am too, but the bike is worse. After waiting for 4 hours between 2 turns for feedback from the insurance, you could already call it camping, we decided to leave the accident site towards a free room (300m). It was also getting dark. This decision should turn out to be the best ever, we are very modest, but after about 10 inquiries with the insurance, always new employees and no feedback, the long-awaited towing service arrived exactly 24 hours later. Hurray for German bureaucracy. The Romanians were very helpful and our tow truck driver Sebastian is a top guy. Since the only BMW workshop in Romania is in Bucharest (where we never wanted to go), that meant 365 km and 6 hours drive. The workshop even has a night watchman, good thing. After we arrived here in the middle of the night and unloaded the motorcycles, Sebastian even drove us to the hotel, which was of course only booked for 1 person by the insurance, makes sense!!! Anyway, Sebastian started the journey home in the same night, tough guys here. We first raided the mini bar and will go to the workshop tomorrow hoping that the damage can be fixed in the short term, we will see. Oh, my foot looks like that of an elephant, and a mighty big one at that. P.S.: Susi left her cell phone with the night watchman, I think only because he dismissed her with a hand kiss, I should try that too. Sleep well.
