We strolled past the Parliament and the Margaret Island in the middle of the Danube, which must be really beautiful in the summer.
Then we decided to take Mohammed's advice and walk to the Statue of Liberty, which was funny because it was originally intended to be a victory column by the Nazis but was repurposed after the lost war. From up there, we had a wonderful view of the city. We stayed there until it was completely dark, took photos and didn't stop chatting.
To round off the evening, we went to a vegan restaurant and I had a kind of goulash soup, which according to Nico didn't taste like goulash, but I still liked it.
I must say that I really enjoy getting to know people and doing things with them while traveling, which I would never think of doing in Germany. I found it especially interesting with Nico, what kind of travel he liked (the ones that could go wrong, like in Lebanon) and how emotionally detached he could be when talking about his job.
