Of course, I had to visit the world-famous Miller Brewery. I went there with low expectations, but I was still curious. The brewery is so big that the whole area is called 'Miller Valley'. After visiting the former brewery cellars (today the tanks are located above ground), we went to the former restaurant, which was designed in German style by the German immigrant and brewery founder Frederick Miller (he bought the local Plank Road Brewery in 1855). The influence of German immigrants is still very noticeable in Milwaukee today! Then we went to the current brewhouse (5x700hl wort kettles, 5x860hl lauter tuns), the bottling plant, and the logistics center. Of course, there was food and drinks available 😉🍻.

In 1883, the first bottle filling took place here, and in 1886, one of the first beer pasteurization facilities was established.

84,000 bottles/hour, 48,000 labeling/hour, 120,000 cans/hour (Krones filler)

30% bottles (pasteurized, Genuine Draft with cold sterilization), 60% cans (pasteurized), 10% kegs (kegs are untreated)

Production volume: 11.8 million hectoliters/year (41,000 hl/day)

18,580 m2 storage area, 300 trucks/day (100% trucks), the entire warehouse is rotated in 24-36 hours

Miller has over 100 brands, and half of them are produced here.

After that, we also visited the Harley-Davidson production. Unfortunately, I skipped the museum.
