Between Sugarcane and Volcanoes

Diterbitkeun: 04.02.2019

Encircled by tall mountains lies the small village of Atirro. The view into the distance is always intercepted by the next mountain. One of them is the Turrialba Volcano. Unfortunately, you can only view it from below as it is still active and occasionally tends to erupt. The mountains are so high that clouds and fog cannot catch up and always hang a little lower. The clouds look nice. However, when the fog snakes its way from the mountains into the valley in the evening and spreads further, it feels like being transported directly into the Hunger Games of Panem.

The city of Turrialba is a typical Costa Rican small town. You will search in vain for a city center, large buildings, or other tourists here. Even the university does not have a first floor. However, the small houses with their colorful colors appear much friendlier.

This time only a short status update. ¡Hasta luego, chicas!
