Yesterday we accidentally got the absolute premium spot at the rest area. Because when we slowly wake up around 07:00 in the warmth of the car, we realize that the shade of a large tree is falling exactly on our car, so it is not turned into a sauna on wheels like all our neighboring motorhomes.

We have a small breakfast and our senses (mainly skin and nose) remind us that it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a shower again. We grab our mobile phones and curiously search for the nearest public pool or shower. We don't want to drive far now, as tomorrow we will pick up Ines and Carsten (Jonna's parents) from the airport in Brisbane.

In a small suburb just outside Brisbane, we found what we were looking for and excitedly set off. When we arrived at the desired place, we once again remembered a not insignificant fact about visiting a public pool that we had unfortunately forgotten: it's still school holidays.

The public pool, located right next to a large shopping center, makes a great first impression. There are showers, changing rooms, and there is definitely water in the pools; unfortunately, we couldn't see it because of all the human bodies.

Since our project "leisure pool and showers" unfortunately falls through (badumtsss), we switch to our spontaneously forged Plan B and pay a visit to the huge mall. We walk through the perfectly designed shopping center and visit various shops. We take advantage of the day and the opportunity that the shopping center also has a library, and we go about our usual business there. Afterwards, we stretch our legs in the slightly too accurate park - there are free gas grills, a small water park, dozens of seating areas, outdoor showers, drinking options, toilets, and WiFi everywhere.

We have seen enough of this capitalist small town paradise and, in order to stay close to Brisbane as desired, we return to the same rest area as before. There, we have a short chat with two other local campers who seem quite nice at first impression, but then turn out to be a bit strange during the conversation. We skillfully extricate ourselves from the conversation, have a light dinner, and then go to bed.
