Cloudy and humid
At 2:00 am we are outside again, above the highest peak of the Pyhä-Luosto ridge we can see something like green lightning. We believe it is a mix of northern lights and artificial ski lift lighting, strange flashes can be seen and it is not clear.
Nevertheless, we manage to start our second hike in the national park around 9:30 in the morning, we have chosen Isokuru Gorge as our destination, we had already found the entrance yesterday.
It is a narrow gorge, surrounded by steep slopes up to 200 m high, it is Finland's deepest gorge. The path through it has been newly established in summer and has just been reopened.
We walk on wooden footbridges and long stairs, and admire the impressions - rubble, mosses and lichens dominate the picture.
Around noon we start climbing the highest hill, but during the climb we realize that it is actually just a downhill ski hill.
Without realizing it, we have again left the national park and are walking back to our cabin through the area marked by ski tourism. The evening ends with sauna, fish dinner and card games.
