It was much more active on the penultimate day. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we took an Uber to the starting point of a hike. The hike was meant to take us to Lions Head, the little brother of Table Mountain. The hike, just under 5km long, started off relatively easy. The path wound around the mountain, offering glimpses of the city, the ocean, or Table Mountain along the way. The last part, especially the final ascent, was a bit of a challenge. Our climbing skills were put to the test. With the help of chains and climbing hooks on the mountain, we made our way up the last meters. But the climb was worth it. At the top, we were rewarded with a beautiful view of Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic Ocean. And then came the descent. As expected, it was a bit less comfortable and more difficult than the ascent. After about four hours, we reached the starting and ending point again, and headed back to the hotel. The pool was waiting there.
