Smarna Gora

Today we start our little road trip through Slovenia. In the morning, we pick up our rental car and then make our way to the "mountain" Smarna Gora. The hill north of Ljubljana, which is not really in the spotlight of tourists, was recommended to us (thanks Melina ;)). On Saturday afternoon, mainly locals are out and about here.

The short but steep path ends for us in sun loungers with a view over the beautiful landscape of Slovenia.

After a short break, we make our way back to the car and drive towards Bled. In the northwest of Slovenia, we have booked an Airbnb accommodation near the famous Lake Bled. The little yellow house of Alex and daughter Ayda immediately caught our eye. The somewhat haphazardly assembled, partly self-built furniture and the rest of the furnishings may be a bit quirky, but we feel at home here amidst green meadows and mountains.

From here, we will take trips to the surroundings of Bled tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
