Start in the morning with a good breakfast. Then we decided to do the route parallel to the Flåm Railway instead of taking the train for 50 € to Myrdal. A beautiful, wild-romantic valley with great views. Overall, more than 1000 meters of altitude, partly in extremely steep switchbacks. From the top, people are throwing themselves into the valley on a zipline. Whoever likes it....!
Up in the mountains in a valley without an exit, there is a large train station with a transfer to Bergen. It seems totally surreal at this location.
The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest railway lines on standard gauge in the world, with an incline of 5.5 % for 80 % of the journey. The train passes through an impressive landscape, along the Rallar Road, past dizzying mountain slopes and foaming waterfalls, through 20 tunnels, and offers so many viewpoints that many people don't feel satisfied with just going up and down once.
We were satisfied with cycling once.
A completely different scenery today, but very impressive again.
Today evening, there was Indian chicken.
