All good things come to an end

So! Now it happened ... I left New Zealand soil and have now arrived in Dubai. After checking out this morning (or rather yesterday by now), I used the remaining time to buy souvenirs. Actually, the timing to leave New Zealand wasn't so bad, as the rainy Christchurch made it a bit easier for me. Besides, I managed to avoid the storm ... others didn't succeed so well. The Stray Bus at Fox Glacier couldn't continue, which meant that everyone had to spend the night on the bus. The others are currently unable to leave Queenstown, and there was a landslide at Kaikura that prevents the buses from going north. But since the weather will be good again from Sunday, it's just a small consolation.

The flight to Sydney was quite pleasant ... The airport there is still decorated for Christmas ^^ Until Dubai, I was surrounded by various cricket teams, as the World Cup apparently took place in New Zealand.

Now I have about 7 hours ahead of me (21 already behind me ^^) and then it's over ... the best month of my life :)
