After landing safely, we were able to easily get into the booked car and head towards Ayutthaya (which is already a little adventure directly in BKK with left-hand traffic and 6 lanes).
There we had dinner at a typical Thai market and relaxed at the end of the long day.
This morning we headed north after breakfast. We made the first stop after about 150km in Uthai Thani.

After the thermometer reached the 30-degree mark, we decided to quickly climb 451 steps to Wat Khao Sakae Krang. The climb was rewarded with a great view.
Once at the top, it is supposed to bring good luck to hit the big bell three times with a thick bamboo stick - said and done.

On we go... 170 km later, we arrived in Kamphaeng Phet early in the evening. Since there were still 45 minutes until sunset, we decided to get a first overview of the Historical Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Since there is also a night market here, we took the opportunity to try out various culinary delights for dinner. :-)
Tomorrow morning we will go back to the Historical Park, explore the rest and then continue driving towards Sukhothai.
See you soon!
Oh... have a nice third Advent!
