After a long time, I was drawn to the USA again.
On Wednesday morning, we went from Frankfurt to Chicago with a small group.
Two movies, two meals, and a few sleeping episodes later, the 9-hour flight was over and we were in Chicago.
First hurdle - the control
After getting off the plane, we went to a small hall where we had to provide some information at different counters. In return, we received a small slip of paper - and that was also the first shock! There was simply a big X on it - Oh no...
From there, I went to the counter where a rather emotionless officer asked me a few questions, took my fingerprints, and finally granted me entry into the country.
Next stop was to pick up the luggage, which went very smoothly. From here, we took the Heart Bus to the car rental, where we picked up our car - each seat even has its own TV in the form of a tablet.
From here, we went directly to the highway and got stuck in traffic. After about 40 minutes, we reached our first stop - Chicago. With a temperature of around 28 degrees, we spent 5 hours exploring the city.
Chicago, located on Lake Michigan in Illinois, is one of the largest cities in the USA. It is known for its beautiful architecture, a skyline dominated by skyscrapers, jazz music, and many other things.
Here, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Navy Pier - great view of the skyline and 150 possibilities to eat something.
Millennium Park - great modern art
Trumptower
so beautiful here
Here are a few more impressions of the city
After all that, we went hungry to Pizzeria UNO, where we
ate pizza in the style of Chicago.
Difference: a lot of dough, thick crust, then cheese, then
tomato sauce, and then pepperoni. The size was small in this case,
I managed to eat only half of it.
After eating, we went well satisfied to the hotel to sleep.
Tomorrow, we will continue to Indianapolis and then to Cincinnati.
