We arrive at the entrance of the duplex house at midnight.
My back noticeably hurts after a 50-minute walk with the heavy travel backpack, and I just want to sleep.
We're lucky - a Polish guy is standing in the open front door. We exchange a few words with him, which turns out to be not easy in his broken English.
We are allowed to come in.
Through the narrow hallway, whose floor is almost completely covered with shoes, we reach the living room door, which has 'THE BRIGHT SIDE OF THE MOON' written on it. Apparently the name of the house. Blacklight lamps bathe the room in ultraviolet light, making everything only vaguely visible. Loud bass-heavy music is booming through the speakers. A small psytrance house party.👽
Two people are dancing, three others are sitting on the sofas against the wall.
All the flatmates seem friendly, some speak well, others not so well, and others don't speak English at all.
Nevertheless, communication somehow works. Some of them make funny animal noises from time to time.
I have another cup of tea.🍵
Then we go to sleep.🌛
The house turned out to be a meeting point for various more or less crazy young people, from street musicians, travelers, students, homeless people, average employees... I have no idea what kind of people were there... but there was everything... a really colorful group for sure.
We spent three days there, during which we cooked every day. One evening we went to a vegan restaurant in town where I had a really delicious burger.
I particularly enjoyed the little bike tour to the nearest shopping center.🚲
Blue sky, sunshine, 23°C. Almost like being on vacation.☀️
