You know, there's one thing that's really hard for me to understand. Okay, lots of them. For example, algebra. Or how t-shirts are made from plants. The 1st picture shows a cotton plantation. It is a mystery to me. But that wasn't what I was trying to get at. I just don't understand how my God it sounds so stupid and now the topic is really chewed up, but how can you still not be vegan or at least vegetarian? That doesn't want to get into my head. I fully understand cultural context and if you grow up eating meat and no one around you questions the practice, I understand that. But imagine you live in Germany and have internet access and maybe you're not exactly a conspiracy theorist. Another thing. How do you come up with this shit? I was recently talking to someone about why I'm following a vegan diet. He said yes, animal welfare is all well and good, I don't care because I'm a man and have no feelings, but climate change is not an argument for me. Why, it's no longer a secret that a vegan diet emits significantly less CO2 and, above all, methane, which in the end, if practiced by a lot of people, can have a huge impact. “Yes, but how do you know the man-made climate crisis exists?” BOY. How am I supposed to talk to you if you question basic science? He said yes, I just don't believe everything that is in the media and taught to me from outside and would rather find out the information myself. YES FROM WHERE? DO YOU WANT TO FLY TO THE MOON NOW TO SEE IF THE EARTH IS ROUND? I then also said, we have to trust science somehow, I mean, how do you know, for example, whether the earth is round? HE SO: YES I DON'T KNOW. What do you believe in if you distrust every source that you haven't verified yourself? So your brain is just blank or what? Then I said: do you believe in God? He so yes. I'm like: but that's something you were taught. He so no, I know that God exists because I have had experiences with him several times. Bro. Then he said that many scientists also say that climate change does not exist or is not man-made. Yes, maybe 1%, namely those who are paid by Donald Trump feat AfD. But he doesn't believe everything that is written in any (including scientific) magazines. My pulse- 181.5. Mind you, the guy is 35 or something. But I think his parents are also Jehovah's Witnesses. But very nice Jehovah's Witnesses, I slept with them for two nights. A lot has happened in the last few weeks. Anyway, at some point we went to sleep and I just agreed with him a little bit about a few things because I wasn't in the mood anymore and my wrists were about to explode. But it wasn't a hostile conversation at all, I think he actually really enjoyed the conversation. He couldn't have known that my inner state could only be described with these 3 Michael memes. Screaming, crying, despairing. That's not what I actually wanted to get at. I actually wanted to say: apart from people who are affected by poverty and/or who haven't had a good education in which you learn to question things critically, I don't understand how people still eat meat. You can expand the question to include car use, plastic consumption, etc. But I have the feeling that that's something else. Because it would be so easy. And also because the negative influence of this action is so obvious. If you consume a lot of plastic, sometimes you may not even notice how it has a negative impact. You can't see how it was made or where it ends up. But we all know that behind meat products is a bloody, screaming, mutilated, tortured, degraded animal. How can you not see that? Or ignore it because it tastes DELICIOUS. YUMMY. ABOUT BLOOD. I also know that this opinion comes from an extremely privileged position, but I wish everyone could see it the way I do. I haven't seen it for long enough either. Sometimes this topic makes me incredibly desperate because I can't blame anyone for it. So I can, but most people won't change anything because they don't have to. And if politics cannot create the incentives, perhaps we as a society have to take the change into our own hands. I recently watched a documentary in which a former chicken farmer converted his giant empty stables into mushroom farms. Then I cried. That was really sweet. But the topic of nutrition alone has such a huge impact on the state of our planet. We could really do something with this topic again. If people would wake up. Okay, I need to chill for a moment and get my pulse back below 180. Ciaokel chair<3
