With loud music turned up and going way too fast, my rideshare grandpa took me to Valencia in 3 hours. Unfortunately, he couldn't speak English, so we couldn't really communicate, but he seemed very nice. Upon arrival, I first strolled to my hostel. There, I took a very long nap after these intense days in Barcelona. After that, I looked up what there was to see in Valencia. Close to my hostel, there was a giant park that more or less encircles the whole city. Some museums are also located in very unusual buildings there. I wandered around a bit, always heading towards the sea, until I reached the harbor. There, I sat down a bit and engaged in my favorite pastime – watching people and whatever they were doing. In one of the old harbor halls, there is now a meeting point for all skaters, rollerbladers, dancers, and whatever else comes to mind, and it's never boring to watch. In the evening, I cooked something for myself and soon headed to bed. The next day was all about sightseeing in Valencia. I walked again to that park and this time looked at the buildings from the inside before strolling towards the city center. Of course, I went to see the cathedral again, as it wouldn't be a Spanish city without it. After that, I wandered through the small alleys and checked out what else there was to see. The little alleys are really charming with plants, beautiful balconies, and very cool bars and restaurants. I even got to see a wedding in one of Valencia's churches. However, it was also quite hot, and the city was full of tourists. For lunch, I stopped by the Mercato Centrale to grab a meal. I then made my way back through the park to the beach. I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening there to cool off. The later the evening got, the louder it became due to all the beach clubs, which were packed with party people since the afternoon. However, I decided to enjoy the evening quietly this time and not dive into the crowd. The next morning, I spent some more time at the hostel before continuing on. 🫶🏼
