Good morning, you wonderful Africa!
Today promises to be a fantastic day in Franschhoek! Our adventure began with a "cozy" breakfast at our Stellenbosch Manor before we set off. Kai, our reliable chauffeur, drove us through the picturesque vineyards to Franschhoek.
Barely arrived, we quickly found a parking spot. Upon getting out, we were greeted by the lovable Great Dane Jack, who was clearly hungry for some affection. We agreed that he probably doesn’t get this much love very often.
Now it was time to explore the charming streets and boutiques of the town. The ladies were in the mood for shopping today and disappeared into various fitting rooms in no time. Kristina found a stunning denim dress that perfectly matched her style, while Steffi discovered an elegant linen dress that immediately captivated her.
While the ladies admired their new treasures, Kai convinced me that I urgently needed to get rid of the excess hair on my face. In no time, I was sitting in the chair of a traditional barber! There, I not only got a shave but also a hot wax removal of my nose and ear hairs – I immediately felt much fresher and younger!
It was now time for a cool drink, and we looked for a shady spot to relax. Afterwards, we strolled through some art galleries and various interesting shops.
After a successful shopping and wellness day, we headed back. However, the drive home was slowed down by an unexpected traffic jam due to roadworks. It seemed that Mr. Stop and Mr. Go had fallen into a deep sleep.
Upon arriving at the guesthouse, we ended the evening by the pool before heading to the Hussars Grill. Here, everything the meat-loving heart desires was once again represented. A vegan really has a hard time in South Africa! After a delicious meal, we treated ourselves to a nightcap at the Wynhouse before casually strolling back to the hotel.
Good night, Africa!
