03.09.2024 Reeth to Richmond

Our hiking tour today started with the hotel owner's words, "It won't be sunny today." The opposite turned out to be true. We had a beautiful, albeit quite short tour (approximately 17km) along a river, through several sheep pastures, and small woodland sections. In between, we made a stop in Marske at an old church that delighted us by providing snacks, beverages, and even bandages for hikers. Of course, we couldn't say no to that. When we finally arrived in Richmond (a slightly larger town in comparison) in the afternoon, we stocked up at the local boots (English dm) with hair oil, hair mask, etc., which were put to use in the afternoon. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious Indian dinner. We are thankful for every day that there are no burgers.
