Dar Es Salaam

After Mafia Island, we will go to Dar Es Salaam, where we want to organize and plan our next stage. In Tanzania, we have always been bound to a guide and it is not recommended to explore things on our own, which is why after 5 weeks we are really looking forward to freedom, self-driving, and exploring - so we are continuing to NAMIBIA. The country is supposed to be great for self-driving and camping, which is why we are now working on organizing various things: PCR tests, insurance, renting a car with a rooftop tent, planning the route, and so on. There is a lot to consider and plan, and we are glad that we can treat ourselves to a nice place in Dar Es Salaam.

We won't become fans of the city while we are here. It is incredibly busy and extremely loud. Once, we will go "strandeln" on the recommendation of the Swiss woman who owns our accommodation, at a shopping center where "many white people" go shopping. It feels a bit like we are in Spain. Since Tanzanian home cooking does not include much vegetables, we really enjoy the Thai dishes that we treat ourselves to there.

Highlights: Pizza and Thai enjoyment, meeting really nice people again, without whose help we would have had some problems with the organization, live music in a local bar, enjoying the cozy accommodation with the sound of the sea
