We have a delicious and hearty breakfast, drive past the airport and check if my suitcase is there! Unfortunately, it's not here yet, but the staff member says it will be delivered directly to the accommodation in the afternoon! In a good mood, we first go to Arrowtown, an old gold mining town and an old settlement where Chinese gold miners lived away from others. There is a sign that says: 'They are invited but not welcome'. How true this also applies to the 'guest workers' with us.
On the way back, we stop at the supermarket, which is actually quite rare, and buy some snacks. At the old bridge over the Kawarau River, we stop at the bungee jumping point. Very impressive, but not to be imitated. A little picnic and then we continue to Glenorchy at the other end of the lake. In between, we jump into the really cold water (16 degrees) - so refreshing!!!
A beautiful landscape around us - it reminds us of Scotland. In Glenorchy, it is raining and the sun is shining, and there is a beautiful rainbow.
We now see that the luggage service had called and I should call back urgently. But now there is no one there! Is there something wrong with the suitcase???
Back in Queenstown, we buy salad, etc. for dinner and unfortunately can't eat on the balcony because it's raining heavily.
Checked emails, sent pictures and then off to bed! Another night of deep sleep!
