After a hearty Irish breakfast, we set off for Hook Lighthouse - the oldest operating lighthouse in the world - in glorious sunshine and great visibility.
Then the weather unfortunately became typically Irish and it rained constantly. But you can also enjoy half-ruined ruins in the rain.
In Dunbrody Abbey, there was not only such a ruin, but also a labyrinth, which of course we didn't miss.
We then visited our first garden in Tintern Abbey, a recommendation from our very accommodating host. It feels like it's not even that bright green in May here.
When looking for dinner (we didn't want to go to the same pub as the night before), we quickly became disillusioned. The first restaurant didn't have a table, the next one was closed, and the last one was just a bar. And that was all the options we had in the nearby area... At least there was a take-away burger place next to the bar and we spent the evening playing some games in our accommodation.
