After the really relaxed days in Morro Bay we hit the road again and drove further and further north. So we passed a sea elephant colony near San Simeon and we were able to admire the somewhat ugly animals in the wild. Fun fact: when a male sea elephant wins a fight, he gets 10-60 females!
After that, we continued on the Pacific Coast Highway, the road became more beautiful and led further into nothingness, away from the cities. So we decided to stop at some point and set up our camp, we stopped on the side of the road, but if you walk about 50 meters down a small path, you will find yourself at a lonely bay. There you could watch the day come to an end and admire the most breathtaking sunset I have ever seen, and in the evening you could marvel at a starry sky of indescribable magnitude. The only things missing were Annchristin and reception!
