08.05. Back to Australia

Since our flight only left in the evening, we were able to enjoy the day at the resort until the afternoon. Fortunately, we were allowed to keep the room for that long. At around 2:45pm, the seaplane picked us up to take us back to the main island. The staff sang heartwarming songs for us again and said goodbye to us all on the beach. It can bring tears to your eyes.

When we arrived at the airport, it was evacuated. I have no idea why. But we were still able to fly to Sydney on time with Fiji Airways for 4.5 hours. Unfortunately, it was a very shaky flight at times. Immigration was quick, so we were at the hotel by 10:15pm (accounting for a two-hour time difference). A short walk around the hotel and a nightcap beer.
