Esperance prides itself on having the most beautiful and whitest beaches in Australia. Today we wanted to see for ourselves in Cape Le Grand National Park, where some of them can be found. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. Cloudy doesn't look quite as great. But even in the light gray shimmer, the water is still fantastically turquoise and the beaches are so white that you can hardly look without sunglasses. One of the 'world famous' beaches is Lucky Bay. Kangaroos live on the beach here and occasionally sunbathe. Today, it was crowded with people there (It's like the contents of a cruise ship anchored in Esperance were transported there 😬.) Nevertheless, we spotted a few animals.
The whitest beach is Orleans Bay. The locals spend their Saturdays here and usually drive directly onto the beach with their 4WD. Who needs that...
