Bagby Beer Company
A very beautiful brewery awaited me in Oceanside (San Diego County). The brewery had an open layout, so you could sit at the bar, watch the brewing process, and talk to the brewers. The beers fully lived up to the recommendation. Many German beer styles, good and clear in taste, all according to the purity law (without advertising it), and the selection of foreign beers was also impressive (including Belgian and Austrian beers!).
Also, the flower field in Carlsbad was very beautiful, where we also visited a European/German supermarket and restaurant (which was surprisingly good!). At the Maritime Museum of San Diego, I was able to board various old and reconstructed ships, and even enter a Russian submarine. In line with that, I went sailing with my family's friends on their new boat. I also visited 'Old Town San Diego', the restored/reconstructed origin of the city. There was plenty of interesting information about fermentation and cheese production, interesting conversations, and great food at the Queso Diego cheese club meeting at Alesmith Brewery, which Curt took me to. Of course, my Obatzer was a big hit there 😉
