The Serengeti National Park was the former home of the Maasai, who appropriately named this area the “endless plain”.
And yes, that describes the Serengeti very accurately.
A plain full of animals! Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra move through the savannah following the “Great Migration”.
In between there are antelopes, giraffes, baboons, warthogs…
Tree-climbing lions (that's right, they really climb trees) are waiting for their chance, as is a leopard, whose outline we saw on a distant tree.
