Phuket Town

After our amazing experience on Koh Phangan, we went back to the mainland to Phuket.

We spent the first four days in Phuket Town, and we unexpectedly liked it very much. First of all, the sun came out again and we had crazy sun and heat. Good for me, I can't get enough of the heat. Mario is a bit different though. But he was satisfied once he could ride the scooter around Phuket. In addition, the city with its colorful houses, cafes, and (night) markets is really beautiful, and the people are all very nice and helpful. But that applies to all parts of Thailand that we have seen so far. Besides, we saw free-roaming monkeys for the first time (my personal highlight!)

From Phuket Town, we visited urban parks, viewpoints, and also the Chillva Market, which replaced the Christmas market for us this year. Instead of mulled wine and roasted almonds, there were plenty of Thai and Asian delicacies.

In addition, we went to the Big Buddha, the Promthep Cape (the southernmost point of Phuket), Laem Panwa, Rawai Beach, and a few other things.

Now we're heading to Karon Beach for a few days of beach time.
