Monday morning. 4 am. We were on our way to the train station, but the first subway didn't run until 5. So we walked to Ueno Park instead. It wasn't very far. On the way, we grabbed some food from the 24-hour supermarkets and took a late-night walk through the park. Finding the train station afterwards proved to be difficult. So we also saw a good part of Ueno until we were back at the hotel before the rush hour.
At 10, we continued to Akihabara, and this time everything was open, and we visited almost every store. There are plenty of anime figures, but unfortunately, many of them are the same. Either animes we didn't know or One Piece and Dragon Ball. We can break it down into four 'stores': maid cafés, figure shops, tech shops, and arcades. The arcades were fun to look at, but it was hardly worth spending money on them.
But Karsten really wanted to go to a maid café, so we went to one that spanned seven floors. It was really over the top, just as you would expect. Everything was made to be cute and childish. The only thing that didn't fit was the room's decoration. However, there was a very large crowd later on.
After another window shopping tour, we also made a stop at the cat café, which was very nice. Cozy seating. Very fluffy cats and beautiful room design. You could really relax there. Those who could read could borrow manga or play Wii U there.
